Miso ribeye steak with Tenderstem® broccoli

This super-quick recipe combines deliciously marinated ribeye steak with delicious stir-fried Tenderstem® broccoli. Making use of an array of delicious flavours from your store cupboard such as soy sauce, miso paste, sake and sesame oil, this recipe will put a brand-new spin on a classic steak.

Method

  1. Mix the marinade ingredients together in a small bowl. Coat both sides of the steaks with the marinade and leave for a couple of hours (ideally overnight) in the fridge. Bring to room temperature before cooking and wipe away most of the marinade just before you are ready to cook.

  2. Place a wok and a heavy-based frying pan on a high heat. Add a tbsp vegetable oil to the frying pan and a tbsp sesame oil to the wok. When smoking hot, carefully place the steaks in the frying pan. Then add the Tenderstem® broccoli, garlic and chilli to the wok.

  3. Cook the steaks for 2-3 mins on each side (depending on the thickness).

  4. While the steak is cooking, stir and cook the Tenderstem® broccoli for around a minute. Then add the soy sauce, stir again and cook for another minute. Remove from the heat and place in a serving dish.

  5. Remove the steaks from the heat once cooked, then season with black pepper and allow to rest for a few minutes before carving into thick slices.

  6. To serve, place the steak on top of the Tenderstem® broccoli. Perfect served with steamed rice and pickled cucumber.
